Description

Industrial Magnetic Flux Leakage Detector | Advanced NDT Equipment for Pipe and Steel Defect Inspection
High-precision static mobile magnetic flux leakage NDT equipment for ferromagnetic metal defect detection. Suitable for steel pipes, oil & gas pipelines, rails, and steel cables. 15 patented technologies, full certifications, stable and reliable for industrial non-destructive testing.

The static mobile magnetic flux leakage NDT equipment is a new-generation portable and fixed dual-purpose industrial non-destructive testing device, independently developed for ferromagnetic metal workpieces. Integrating magnetization, signal acquisition, intelligent analysis and defect positioning, it adopts advanced magnetic flux leakage testing technology to achieve high-precision detection of internal and surface defects of various steel products. Different from traditional fixed testing equipment, this machine supports flexible mobile deployment and static fixed operation, adapting to factory batch detection and on-site engineering inspection scenarios. With 15 independent technical patents and complete industry certification documents, it is a professional testing solution for petrochemical, metallurgy, railway, pipeline engineering and pressure vessel industries.

3. Working Principle

The equipment magnetizes ferromagnetic workpieces such as steel pipes, steel plates and steel cables through an external magnetization system. In the intact part of the workpiece, magnetic lines pass through uniformly and stably. When there are defects including cracks, pits, inclusions, scratches and corrosion on the metal surface or interior, the original magnetic circuit is distorted, and partial magnetic lines leak out of the workpiece surface to form a stable leakage magnetic field. The high-sensitivity professional probe captures leakage magnetic signals in real time. The built-in intelligent system analyzes, identifies and calculates the signals to accurately judge the specific position, size, depth and type of metal defects.

4. Core Detection Functions
This product is widely used in three major industries: petroleum, metallurgy, and automotive parts manufacturing. In the petroleum industry, it meets the requirements of API Spec 5CT (American Petroleum Institute specification for casing and tubing), 5DP (drill pipe product specification), 5L (technical standard for line pipes used in oil and natural gas industries), as well as ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) standards, and is used for the inspection of casing, tubing, and drill pipes. In the steel industry, it serves the quality control of seamless steel pipe and straight seam welded pipe production lines. In the machinery manufacturing sector, it is applied in the inspection of high-demand pipes such as high-pressure boiler tubes and alloy pipes. This equipment has been widely adopted in steel mills and oilfields, providing reliable assurance for high-quality production and operational safety.

  • Detect transverse defects of steel pipes: outer folds, outer scars, transverse scratches and internal inclusions
  • Online inspection of corrosion, wall thickness loss and structural damage of oil & gas transmission pipelines
  • Flaw detection for broken wires, wear and fatigue damage of steel ropes and steel cables
  • Internal hidden defect screening for steel plates, steel strips and seamless tubes
  • Stress crack and fatigue defect detection of bolts and metal fasteners
  • Corrosion and thickness damage inspection of pressure vessels and storage tank walls
  • Rail crack, wear and internal damage detection for rail transit systems
  • Full defect inspection of petroleum drill pipes and sucker rods

Magnetic flux leakage (MFL) testing equipment for steel pipes is suitable for the inspection of internal and external surface defects, including longitudinal, transverse, and oblique defects, in pipes such as oil pipes, petrochemical pipes, pipeline pipes, and boiler pipes. The detection sensitivity of the equipment meets the various grading requirements of relevant standards such as GB/T 12606, API Spec 5CT, 5DP, 5D, 5L, and ASTM E 570.
MFL testing equipment is divided into two types: the rotating-probe type where the steel pipe moves linearly forward, and the follow-up probe type where the pipe moves forward in a spiral manner.
